Final Task

After the long hours and rigorous obstacles, we finally got to the end. This project was probably one of the greatest learning experiences I've ever had. Being able to work together as a team. while Overcoming altercations and any obstacles that are faced. But most importantly being willing to be understanding with different perspectives and talents can help everyone contribute in their own unique way. Learning the true definition of teamwork. A misunderstanding from one can be a problem solved by another. Working on this project brought hardships but over those problems, there were laughs and giggles that overcame them. Filming together and getting that feeling of being around one another bought more emotional support than anything. Something that I believe was well needed within each one of us. Recording a piece like this taught us to reach further out the box. Taking that leap would make our piece come out even better than expected. From learning versatility within lighting, ca

After so much altercations we finally got the most important part achieved. It may have been a little last minute but recording our film at the park today was amazing and fun. The plan was for Roy and I to meet Maiyah and Niyah at the park down the street from the school at 4:30 but yet again we had practice. Since they were at the park on time and we were still at the school practicing, their parents allowed them to be dropped off at the school, and gave them permission to ride with us to the park and take them home after. When they got to the school, they were still there for a good 35-40 min just to complain and tell us to hurry up the whole time, laugh out loud. But when we finally finished we were all able to go to the park. The park was kind of busy so we did have to improvise with what we could and couldn't do. The first film that was encountered was the arrival of everyone, getting out of the car. After some bloopers and laughs, we were able to get it done. Moving on we we

Production Blog: Unfortunately....

Sadly our plan to Film over the weekend went left due to my behalf. The plan was for me to un attend work so I could participate in the film but unfortunately, my job did not agree with that option. We were short-staffed and they really needed me to come into work. I did apologize to my group for that inconvenience. But, we were able to resolve and come together as a group for another solution to record during the week. As a group, we did realize that maybe we should have scheduled earlier the week before to get things like this done in case of situations like these but we will overcome it and push forward. At first, I felt bad because my team was counting on me. But they let me know that it was okay, and they had plans that kind of interfered as well, so it kinda made me feel better. Even though this issue occurred, we found other solutions that were beneficial to everyone.  Our storyline is still kept the same. But in addition to that, we realized that we have to meet up sometime dur

Production Blog: We pick Sunday!!!

After enough decision making our group finally came to a conclusion on what and how everything we get done. Due to the fact we haven't recorded our final film, we are still throughout the second portion of our project. We will be recording this Sunday. Leading us to the finish line and being almost done. By then everybody in the group should have their individual clips filmed. While also remembering all parts accordingly. Leading us to not have as many mistakes and dealings pushing forward with the film process. Doing it this way will give us a great amount of editing time, allowing us to turn in the film by Thursday at the latest. Every group member participates throughout the film at least at some given point. My partner Aniya Smith is kilt off through the first part of the scene due to her suicide. Leading us to sadly get the bad news through unexpected times. For us to later receive a text to meet her at the park. All being filmed in different individual settings before we all

Production Blog: We're getting there

We are in the process of still recording for our final film. The deadline is coming up and we are getting through the film as much as we can. Our split scenes should be already recorded by everyone. The reason being there all individually filmed at home or elsewhere. Those were all recorded by ourselves. This was more convenient for us because we are able to get a portion of the film done, and considering the type of scene that is being dealt everyone was needed to be in separate locations. While also giving us more time to film the main portion of the film at the park. Far as timing, I do believe my group is working accordingly. The film isn't due until next week and we are still getting things done early and efficiently. Sunday would be the shooting of the final portion of the film, leaving us the rest of the week to edit. Correcting any mistakes given. Everyone was to ensure that they shot in perfect angles and recorded in adequate lighting. Our plot wasn't difficult so it w
