Production Blog: It's About time!!!

 After so much altercations we finally got the most important part achieved. It may have been a little last minute but recording our film at the park today was amazing and fun. The plan was for Roy and I to meet Maiyah and Niyah at the park down the street from the school at 4:30 but yet again we had practice. Since they were at the park on time and we were still at the school practicing, their parents allowed them to be dropped off at the school, and gave them permission to ride with us to the park and take them home after. When they got to the school, they were still there for a good 35-40 min just to complain and tell us to hurry up the whole time, laugh out loud. But when we finally finished we were all able to go to the park. The park was kind of busy so we did have to improvise with what we could and couldn't do. The first film that was encountered was the arrival of everyone, getting out of the car. After some bloopers and laughs, we were able to get it done. Moving on we were able to film the main portion of the film next. Recording the part where everyone realizes we all received a text to meet Aniya(suicider/ Mekayla) at the park. Then the recording of the scene where everyone receives a text that she is in desperate need of help and she wants us to meet her under the red pavilion. Only for her to not be there and a note is left with a clue to whom or where she might be. Leaving shocking suspense and the audience being off the edge. Having that idea at the end was a very good idea because though the audience might be mad because they want to know more of the film, it still leaves them engaged through the process. Having this portion done took a lot of stress off of everyone. Now all that is needed is the few beginning scenes from some of the individuals in the group. By tomorrow night it will be Thursday so we should have everything edited and turned in before Friday comes. Unfortunately though having a job throughout your junior year, and having spots on top of it isn't the best idea. Because of that reason, I won't be able to edit the film anymore. I have to attend work and Aniya agreed she will take over that portion.  But before I go to work I will be helping in any way I can. We have to get this done and turned in together as one.

Genre Research: Queen And Slim

 Q ueen and Slim is another great movie. It gives off a different version of Bonnie and Clyde. The movie tells about two young adults, male and female, being on the run for the murder of a police officer after being pulled over one night. The two were at first, on a regular date getting to know each other and as they are on the way home, they are stopped by a white male police officer and was gunned down by him when he shot the female. After that the man shot the police officer and then they fled the scene and that's how their story begins. This movie is a great movie to put into the drama section. There are so many dramatic scenes in this movies from the beginning to the end. The scenes that had all of the action and heartfelt parts in it carried the movie the way it was supposed to be carried. Production Blog: We pick Sunday!!!

 After enough decision making our group finally came to a conclusion on what and how everything we get done. Due to the fact we haven't recorded our final film, we are still throughout the second portion of our project. We will be recording this Sunday. Leading us to the finish line and being almost done. By then everybody in the group should have their individual clips filmed. While also remembering all parts accordingly. Leading us to not have as many mistakes and dealings pushing forward with the film process. Doing it this way will give us a great amount of editing time, allowing us to turn in the film by Thursday at the latest. Every group member participates throughout the film at least at some given point. My partner Aniya Smith is kilt off through the first part of the scene due to her suicide.
