Blog: First Aid

While gathering all the pieces needed to pursue the final task of our film, my group still had to think about the safety held amongst one another throughout this process. At the end of the day this is a film and we are only between the ages of 15-17 years old. The way our film is set up and the process of the actions within it, it is important that we're cautious. As a team we went over some safety rules and organized a strict protocol that is to be followed. Since the story line of our pieces involves suicide, to us and the audience our safety was very important. When it came to using realistic props and weapons, we ensured the overview of our parent guardians. In case of an emergency we ensured everyone has each others's parent contact information. While also ensuring that the location of the film was in a stable reluctant home. Overall just keeping track of everyone's health, and well being. Some scenes in our film can be a little risky, so my group had to thoroughly explain how certain scenes will be accomplished. Trial and erroring how it will get done in a way that no one gets hurt. My group has not started filming yet because of these reasons. Just going straight into filming without taking precautions would do nothing else other than leave someone hurt. So by any means possible if safety comes first then it will come first. In all honesty, my group and i may be just appear as classmates but overtime we've grown to be family to one another. We mean a lot to each other and the last thing we would want is something happening to one of us. The roles being played within our film at certain points can be dangerous. So we assured a parent gaurdian to be present.

we are making sure an incident will not be apart of our final task.  Practicing stunts so that it is as realistic as possible, but not physically risking the lives of one another. The way my groups film is set up we really want it to come out in ways you wouldn't even expect. Its our final task we are trying to go big. So if going big means taking time out and thoroughly going through step by step on how our film will be accomplished by any means we will do so.
