Genre Research: Queen And Slim

 Queen and Slim is another great movie. It gives off a different version of Bonnie and Clyde. The movie tells about two young adults, male and female, being on the run for the murder of a police officer after being pulled over one night. The two were at first, on a regular date getting to know each other and as they are on the way home, they are stopped by a white male police officer and was gunned down by him when he shot the female. After that the man shot the police officer and then they fled the scene and that's how their story begins. This movie is a great movie to put into the drama section. There are so many dramatic scenes in this movies from the beginning to the end. The scenes that had all of the action and heartfelt parts in it carried the movie the way it was supposed to be carried. Those parts made the movie itself more interesting and throughout the movie, it caught that audiences attention more and more. The movie had different scenes that were my favorite. There were scenes that no one seen coming and as part of the audience, I thought it was very creative of how each scene where something unexpected happened, that it surprised all of the audience that watched it. For example, there was a scene where the young boy shot at a police to show ''justice''. After that, the young boy was shot multiple times by the other police officers at the scene. This surprised the crowd because the officer was an African American man. Nobody thought the young boy would shoot at his own kind. Another scene that was great to me was the ending. The ending showed the two about to leave the country to live a better life. As they are arriving to the airport about to load the plane, an army of police officers stop them for their warrant of arrest. As they try to run away, they are both shot to their deaths. This scene was a very dramatic scene. It added clips of both of them dying in slow motion and the end when the two are laying dead on the floor gives all the feels. The one thing that I did dislike about this movie was that i think this could have been more. For example, more scenes of what the two were doing on during the run away. The movie ended too quick. But overall, it was a great film.
