Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Image
Looking over this site, helps me gain the knowledge and understanding when it comes to more in debt of discovering a logical and assuring title for our film. Not all Movie titles have to be strictly and straightforwardly acknowledged. You can have fun and be free spirit if the title fits your movie. Let the movie determine your title, not the other way around. Though a movie title is free spirited it is important to dig deeper in debt of the title that comes to you. Making sure that it makes sense and is apprehendable to your audience. It may sound okay but make sure it thoroughly initiates the movie's description. Even when it comes to giving credits, though very important, the setup of how the credits are given reflects off of your movie. The graphic designing portions withhold a strict adherence to the genre and movie given.  Helping the titles stay aligned with the movie and not throw off your audience. When it comes to titles whether being the whole title, subtitles, o...

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
https://www.artofthetitle.com/title/godfather-of-harlem/ When Giving credits within the titles of your film a lot of people just typically create a nice design and put the credits on there, but for a lot of films that is not the case. You can create the most unique moments within your film, just with your titles and the art behind it. Using different genre backgrounds that correlate with your movie, graphic pictures, even live characters from your actual film.  When it comes to the art behind your title you can never go wrong. All it is, is a more represented imagination between you and your film. A free portion of your film that can take on many colors, moods, feelings, and people. Both fictional and nonfictional art, recurring historical events and even futuristic events as well. When it comes to giving your titles the art is a very important factor, because without it the blandness within your movie would be recognized. Art can give your audience either a relationship, el...

Genre Research: Queen And Slim

Image
Q ueen and Slim is another great movie. It gives off a different version of Bonnie and Clyde. The movie tells about two young adults, male and female, being on the run for the murder of a police officer after being pulled over one night. The two were at first, on a regular date getting to know each other and as they are on the way home, they are stopped by a white male police officer and was gunned down by him when he shot the female. After that the man shot the police officer and then they fled the scene and that's how their story begins. This movie is a great movie to put into the drama section. There are so many dramatic scenes in this movies from the beginning to the end. The scenes that had all of the action and heartfelt parts in it carried the movie the way it was supposed to be carried. Those parts made the movie itself more interesting and throughout the movie, it caught that audiences attention more and more. The movie had different scenes that were my favorite. There we...

Genre Research: The Hate You Give

Image
The movie The Hate You Give is another very emotional and powerful movie. Like the Hidden Figures, it is about racial economy in the United States. But this time around, it is in the new day where we suffer with police brutality. The movie is about a young African American girl who is usually not apart of the crowd but tries to do something that boost up her social life such as throwing a party. At the party, she meets a boy and she finds him attractive. They talk and he offers to take her home. As they are going home, they are stopped by a police officer. Everything is great until the boy makes a joke as pulling his hairbrush out as a gun and is then shot and killed by the police officer. By then, the young girl is frightened for her life and that is where the story begins. This movie also has a lot of dramatic scenes. Such as the scene I was just explaining, even though this is based on what goes on in today's society, the scene did bring the dramatics that everyone was looking...

Genre Research: Hidden Figures

Image
Hidden Figures is a movie based on suffrage that African American women faced back in the 1900s. The movie was based on a true story about three African American women working at the NASA station and they deal with things such as racism and segregation throughout their lives in and outside of work. The film came out in 2017 and has touched many people. The screen play of the movie was excellent and it specifically cut out details from what really happened. For the final task, my group and i have chose to do the drama genre. This movie provides a lot of drama as it tells the story of what happened. It has many different dramatic features throughout the movie such as one of the dramatic long, emotional scenes that the movie had and dramatic actions that the women took during the movie. The different conversations that were happening throughout the movie were very interesting to me. They spoke about real life things that happened at that period of time. The different conversations t...

Genre Decision

Image
I n this final task, we were told to base our movie clip on one single genre. The genre that me and my group mates chose to do was drama. We chose the genre because based on our ideas that we've came up with to base our film on, the drama genre fell right into it. I also believe that we chose this certain genre because we felt like this is one of the genres that nobody really uses. The main genres used for this project by other classmates are usually action, horror or thriller and our group just kind of wanted to be different. The drama genre is a very interesting genre in my opinion. In a drama film, it feels like it fits every other genre in one. For example, a drama film can include horror, some action and a bit of comedy in it also, but overall the film is dramatic and has many different things added and flipped around during the film. In drama movies, you usually don't expect the next to happen. In these types of films, characters usually are in shock most of the time. N...

Genre Research

Image
There are many genres other than horror. Theres other great genres such as thriller, romance, historical and action. A lot of people watch many different genres in movies and find them very entertaining. Two other major and important genres used in films are action and comedy. Many movies are filmed in these two genres such as for action, all of the Avengers super hero movies are apart of this genres and such as single movies such as White House Down. As for comedy movies, there are many famous comedy movies out there that we have seen such as The war With Grandpa and the movie TED.            In an action based film or movie. You see a lot of things such as items blowing up, things crashing into each other and even events in the film that the average human couldn't do such as block off a lighting bolt from hitting the ground. The lighting in these types of films are usually bright so that the audience can see whats really going on. Different bright ...

Genre Research: Horror

Image
In the beginning of the year, for the course we were assigned to do a powerpoint about genre. The genre that my partner and I chose was the horror genre. We chose the genre because we felt as if the genre was very interesting and it was also one of the genres that people are usually very skeptical about. The horror genre also was very different from others in many ways. From the way the lighting is set up to the different sounds from the film. In the powerpoint, it gives different information about the genre such as the camera angles they use, lighting and the different sounds including in the film. Many of the slides includes different movies that was based on the genre and included the information that was used in the different films. My partner and I Ryeyauni Bush, we alternated the information on the different types of slides. The slides included pictures of what the horror genre looks like when it is being used in a film.            As stated be...

Pitch Blog (My Pitch)

Image
Pitches. As a group me and my partners came up with two pitches. Before we reached our final two, we came across and discussed many different ideas. A few of those pitches were a movie about a dog with super powers and a girl who is stuck between two boys. The final two pitches that we decided on was a friend group of 3 discovers that they have a secret admirer and a friend group of 4 broke up due to the suicide of one of the members but later reconciled due to a mystery message. What interested us about the pitch regarding the friend group of 3 is that we could each play a part being that we are also a group of 4 meaning 3 can play a part while one films. Another thing that interested us about this particular pitch is that it reminded each of us of a show we all watched. We would be interested in making this film because it would allow for all of us to showcase our acting abilities while also showcasing are directing skills. A con that we discussed if we were to make this film is that...
